Rosemary Champion is a leading figure in the smallholding movement in Scotland. Her early career was in catering management, personnel management, and local government administration. In 2009 she took redundancy from the local council, and with her husband Dan bought Dalmore - a 12 acre holding in Angus. They built this up into a flourishing smallholding with cattle, sheep, hens, and market gardening. They also established a highly successful website called The Accidental Smallholder, providing information and advice to smallholders. It receives over 60,000 visitors a month. Her life story includes her smallholding diary for May 2010 covering the move to Dalmore and her diary, ten years later, for May 2020.
