James Day, Born 1935
A LIFE IN COMPUTER SERVICES
James Day was educated at Rugby School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge. Between school and university he undertook National Service in the Royal Navy. After university he joined Tube Investments and was soon involved in early computer projects. He moved to ICL, at the time the UK’s leading computer manufacturer, where he spent 18 years. He then worked for Data Sciences, which was taken over by IBM.
