Dave Cushman, who died in 2011, was a man of many talents. His personal passion was beekeeping, and he distinguished himself by creating at www.dave-cushman.net one of the world’s leading beekeeping websites. He built this over the last ten years of his life, as he became increasingly physically disabled. Its aim was to provide good sound information to beekeepers worldwide. He bequeathed the website to fellow beekeeper Roger Patterson, who has continued to maintain and develop it. David Cushman’s other interests included motorcycle rallies, model aeroplanes, and petanque.
