Sir Charles Chadwyck-Healey Bt was educated at Eton College and Trinity College Oxford. He had an early career in publishing and photography. He then started his own company, Chadwyck Healey, specialising in publishing on microfilm, microfiche, CD-Rom and online. Major projects included the microfilming of the British Library catalogue and the conversion of the corpus of English poetry into digital form.
